(A) Transduced cells were enriched by FACS sorting on the basis of truncated NGFR and GFP as marker genes. (B) Target gene expression was determined by RT-PCR analysis using human-specific dCK PCR primers. PCR fragments were separated on 1.5% agarose gels and visualized by ethidium bromide staining. (C) Dose-response curves were generated by WST-1 assays after 48 and 72 hours of AraC incubation. Metabolic activities of the cells in the presence of increasing concentrations of AraC (x-axis) were analyzed by the cell proliferation assay WST-1. Y-axis (fraction control) represents the metabolic activity of the cells in the presence of AraC divided by the metabolic activity of cells grown in the absence of AraC.
