Parents or siblings who share a haplotype with the recipient but differ for the other are potential donors. The patient has inherited the IMA haplotype from the mother and the IPA haplotype from the father. The NIMA haplotype carries the noninherited maternal antigens, and the NIPA haplotype carries the noninherited paternal antigens. Potential donors who are genotypically identical are not shown.
