(A) The sequences of the wild-type and mutant oligonucleotides corresponding to region +215 to +247 of the VWF gene are shown. The base substitution mutations in each oligonucleotide are underlined. (B) Gel mobility experiments were carried out using HeLa cell nuclear extracts as described in Figure 2. The probe used was the wild-type (R) oligonucleotide, and the competitors were mutant oligonucleotides shown in (A) and were present at 20× excess of the probe.
