Confocal microscopic analysis was performed on dissected organs of adult SCID mice injected intravenously with 109 TU HIV-GFP vector, after 1 week (A,D,E) or 3 months (C,F) and revealed intense and widespread GFP fluorescence in the liver (A-C) and spleen (D-F). NP and H refer to nonparenchymal cells and hepatocytes, respectively. Green fluorescence corresponds to GFP-expressing cells. Scale bar is depicted.
