Limited proteolysis of stomatin by calpain after platelet activation.
Platelets (1 × 109 cells/mL) were pretreated with the membrane-permeable calpain inhibitors E-64d or calpeptin or with diluent. The platelets were then activated by addition of 4 μM calcium ionophore A23187, and aliquots were analyzed by Western blotting. Representative data are shown (n = 3).
