For this experiment, 10⁵ naive B6 CD4⁺ T cells alone or with 10⁵ 9-day MLR anti-CD40L–cultured whole or CD25-depleted CD4⁺ T cells were injected into sublethally irradiated bm12 recipients (n = 8 per group).
