HIV viral loads and T-cell dynamic. (A) Mean change in plasma mRNA HIV viral loads in all 30 patients who completed treatment. Viral loads increased to an asymptote by cycle 4 and declined below baseline between 1 month and 3 months following completion of DA-EPOCH and reinstitution of antiretroviral treatment. (B) Mean change in CD4⁺ and CD8 T cells in 30 patients who were serially measured during and following treatment. T-cell subsets significantly declined to a nadir on cycle 6 of DA-EPOCH, with recovery to baseline between 12 months and 18 months following completion of DA-EPOCH and reinstitution of antiretroviral treatment.
