Migratory capacity of immature and mature MoDCs and CD1c⁺ PBDCs. Immature MoDCs (GM-CSF plus IL-4); freshly sorted CD1c⁺ PBDCs, or CD1c⁺ PBDCs were stimulated for 8 hours (A-B) or 24 hours (C-D) with TNF-α plus IFN-α plus PGE₂, with CD40L in the presence or absence of PGE₂, or with intact E coli in the presence or absence of PGE₂. These were then loaded into the upper transwell chambers and examined for their capacity to migrate toward either medium alone or CCL21 present in the lower transwell chambers.
