Depletion of the DP T-cell population in thymi of Apc^Min/+ mice. Flow cytometry results for anti-CD4⁺/CD8⁺ staining of thymocytes from the different stated ages for wt and Apc^Min/+ mice are shown. Expression of surface markers on cells was detected using an Epics XL/MCL flow cytometer and analyzed using the WinMDIv2.7 program (Scripps Research Institute, La Jolla, CA). Forward scatter/side scatter (FCS/SSC) gating was used to exclude debris and doublets and dead cells were gated out on the basis of PI positivity measured on the FL-3 channel. The percentages of cells in each gate are shown in each panel. Each panel is representative of data from at least 3 different animals.
