Western blot analysis of GA-treated CLL cells. Cells (10⁷/mL) from CLL patient 3 (Table 2) were incubated in the absence (NA) or presence of 100 nM GA. Protein extracts were prepared at the indicated times and analyzed by Western blotting. All bands were quantified by densitometric analysis and their intensities normalized with respect to actin. GA-specific apoptosis at 24 hours, quantified by morphologic criteria,⁴⁰  was 22%.
