Impact of Wortmanin treatment on IL-2 and Bcl-2 expression. CD4⁺ T cells were isolated and either mock infected or infected as described in “Materials and methods.” The cells were then left untreated or treated with Wortmanin. Expression of IL-2 (A) and Bcl-2 (B) were determined in uninfected, bystander (HIV⁺/p24^-), or HIV productively infected cells (HIV⁺/p24⁺).
