The effect of rapamycin and dexamethasone on the expression of survivin and bcl-xL (A) Karpas 707 cells were treated with rapamycin and/or dexamethasone for 6 and 48 hours. The cells were lysed, and extracts were subjected to analysis by Western blotting using antibodies specific for the antiapoptotic proteins survivin and bcl-xL. The expression was quantified and expressed as compared with control. (B) U-1958 cells were treated with rapamycin and/or dexamethasone for 6 and 48 hours.
