Kinetics of medullarly and extramedullary hematopoiesis after GCV treatment. Organs and peripheral blood leukocyte suspensions were prepared from Col2.3ΔTK transgenic mice treated with PBS (□) or ganciclovir (•) at different time points. Cells were plated in methylcellulose semisolid media supplemented with cytokines that permit the development of myeloerythroid colonies.
