Average levels with standard error of aspartate aminotransferase (ASAT), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), and luteinizing hormone (LH) as a function ofHFEgenotype. Twenty-three C282Y homozygotes were each matched for sex, age, and alcohol consumption with 2 persons each of the 5 other genotypes.
