Transport of ADP in platelet membranes. (A-D) Platelet membrane vesicles (100 μg protein; crude membranes) were incubated with [3H]ADP (1 μM) in the presence of 0.4 mM ATP (▪) or 0.4 mM ATP + 1 mM orthovanadate (♦), and the vesicle-associated radioactivity was determined as described in “Patients, materials, and methods” (mean values ± SD, n = 3; 1 pmol × mg protein–1 = 1724 DPM).
