Surface expression of LRP and α_L-subunit in monocytes and U937 cells. Freshly isolated monocytes (A-C), nontransfected U937 cells (D-F), and U937 cells transfected with sense (G-I) or antisense LRP oligonucleotides (J-L) were collected on object glasses by cytospin centrifugation (10⁵ cells/spin). After fixation, α_L-subunit (A, D, G, J) was visualized using monoclonal antibodies and a Texas Red–labeled secondary antibody.
