The frequency of the primitive HSCs in the purified KSL populations does not differ in the NOD HSCs compared with HSCs from either B10 or B10.BR mice. CAFC assays were performed in parallel on KSL cells from NOD mice (□) and either C57BL/10 (A, ⬡) or B10.BR (B, ▵) mice. Results are from one representative experiment of 3 (A) and 5 (B) performed. Results are represented as frequency of CAFC/10⁶ purified KSL cells.
