Serum levels of CRP and Fbg in 95 control subjects and 91 patients with epithelial ovarian cancer according to stage. Serum levels of CRP and Fbg were significantly lower in patients with cancer than in control subjects (P < .001 and P = .04, respectively). Moreover, patients with stages III to IV ovarian cancer had significantly higher CRP and Fbg levels than did patients with stages I to II (P < .001, for both).
