Induction of EPO-dependent leukemia in nude mice. On day 0, mice received either 5 × 10⁶ wild-type, ▵ABD, ▵SH2, ▵SH3, or KD EPO R/ABL cells via tail-vein injection, followed by daily injections of EPO intraperitoneally. Three to six mice were included in each group, and the experiment was performed two or more times. The figure shows the mean ± SD of days of survival after injection. EPO alone or EPO with parental Ba/F3 cells was not associated with mortality of the mice.
