The bottom line is an expansion of the LCR region of the top line showing the restriction fragments and location of probes used in this study and the sites of various deletions. The deleted sequences are specified with negative numbers representing the number of bases from each side of the deletion to the cap site of the Ey messenger RNA, which is designated as −1/+1.
