Participants with plasma GDF-15 levels in the highest quartile (Q4) were compared with those with GDF-15 levels in the lowest quartile (Q1, reference category). Analyses were adjusted for age, sex, BMI, smoking, hormone therapy, physical activity, and high-sensitivity CRP. Large, solid circles indicate ORs with P < .05.
