Authors submitting manuscripts to Blood RCI do so with the understanding that if a manuscript is accepted, the copyright in the article, including the right to reproduce the article in all forms and media, shall be assigned exclusively to the American Society of Hematology and that the corresponding author and all coauthors will be required to sign their copyright transfer using Blood RCI eJournalPress.

The work of the authors who are U.S. Federal Government employees is not protected by the Copyright Act, and copyright ownership will not be transferred in these cases. The online form to sign on Blood RCI eJournalPress allows authors to indicate their status as Federal Government employees.

All Blood RCI papers are published under a Creative Commons license, and sharing and reuse are dictated by the terms of that license. Information about rights retained by authors can be found here. For other uses outside the terms of the user license, the author must request permission via Tools > Request Permissions on the article page.
