Blood VTH Second Look Program
Second Look is designed to provide authors with a quick response to manuscripts previously reviewed at another journal. When you submit your manuscript for a Second Look, the editors will quickly evaluate your submission in the context of the reviews. If the manuscript is a good fit for the journal and the reviewers’ requests were adequately addressed, it is possible the following scenarios may happen:
- Manuscript may be accepted without additional review.
- Revision. Additional review will be requested to evaluate substantial revisions. Reviewers will receive special instructions noting the presence of previous reviews and asking them to minimize additional new critiques unless they find serious issues. We will also notify you at this stage to see if you would like to move forward with the revision.
- Rejection (through initial evaluation or peer review).
