In the report on "A Review of the Conference on Hematopoietic Mechanisms" which appeared in the December, 1958 issue of BLOOD, Bierman (City of Hope) was misquoted as having used P32 for WBC life span measurements. Actually Bierman’s estimates of granulocyte "intravascular residence time" were based on events following nitrogen mustard administration and leukapheresis.
