Abstract
Manometric determinations of the enzyme succinic dehydrogenase have been carried out on liver, heart and kidneys of iron-deficient and control rats. Even after prolonged, moderately severe iron deficiency, no decrease in enzyme activity of liver homogenates could be demonstrated. However, enzyme depletion could be demonstrated to have occurred in the hearts and kidneys of iron-deficient animals.
