The following information has been received from Dr. Solomon Estren. On page 92, volume II, Blood (January 1947) in the article, "Congenital hypoplastic anemia associated with multiple developmental defects (Fanconi syndrome)," by Estren, Suess, and Dameshek, the second paragraph on the page concludes with the statement: "Death here also occurred three years later." This should have read: "This patient is living and well seven years after the operation (personal communication, Dr. J. V. Dacie5)."
