Abstract
A method for the separation of the hemin of hemoglobin into three fractions by ascending paper chromatography is presented. The relative concentration of each fraction of hemin in normal dog and human hemoglobin is fairly constant. The relative concentration of the three fractions varies in induced anemia in dogs and in various types of human anemia.
