Abstract
Hematologic observations on a patient with hypochromic anemia and hyperferremia indicate (1) the presence in oral crude liver extract of an unidentified erythropoietic substance, and (2) an apparent metabolic relationship of this liver factor with pyridoxine and tryptophane.
