Abstract
The clinical, genetic and electrophoretic characteristics of what is very likely a new hemoglobin variant, hemoglobin Mexico, are presented. It is clinically silent, transmitted by an autosomal co-dominant gene, and in alkaline pH moves faster than hemoglobin A.
