Abstract
Increased RNA-P32/DNA-P32 ratio, iron incorporation and heme synthesis in spleens of polycythemic mice was demonstrated following an injection of erythropoietin. These changes were correlated with the appearance of erythroblasts. These findings suggest an intimate relation between RNA synthesis and stem cell differentiation.
