Abstract
A technique for the accurate and reproducible quantitation of platelet associated immunoglobulins is described. The intact platelets of normal subjects were found to be associated with small quantities of Ig probably located at or near the platelet surface. Incubation of normal platelets in sera from some patients with immunologic purpura caused an increase in platelet immunoglobulin levels.
