Abstract
There is described an automatic micro slide projector with which blood smears can be examined at a magnification of 430 x at a rate more than 3 times greater than that possible with a microscope. A procedure is described by means of which 320 blood smears can be stained in 6 minutes. There is described, also, a convenient method for cleaning and handling large numbers of slides.
