Erratum for vol. 88, p. 4021

In the article by Hui, Chan, and Lau entitled “Identification of Mutations in Seven Chinese Patients With X-Linked Chronic Granulomatous Disease,” which appeared in the November 15, 1996 issue (Vol 88, No 10, pp 4021-4028), typographical errors should be noted in Figures 1B, 2B, Table 2, and the text. The corrections are as follows:

1. Fig 1. (B) The amino acid sequence of Patient #1 should be Phe-Thr-Gln-Thr-Ser instead of Phe-Thr-Glu-Thr-Ser (5′ to 3′), while those of Patient #1's mother should be Phe-Thr-Leu/Gln-Thr-Ser instead of Phe-Thr-Leu/Glu-Thr-Ser (5′ to 3′).

2. Fig 2. (B) The nucleotide sequence of Patient #2 should be GTG-ATC-TTC-ATT-GGC instead of GTG-ATC-TTC-ATT-CGG (5′ to 3′). The amino acid sequence should be Val-Ile-Phe-Ile-Gly instead of Val-Ile-Phe-Ile-Arg (5′ to 3′).

3. In the text and Table 2, amino acid substitution of Patient #1 should be Leu342 → Gln instead of Leu 342 → Glu. The position of the TTC deletion in Patient #2 should be 655 to 657 or 658 to 660 instead of 652 to 654 or 655 to 657.
