Abstract
The literatutre concerning the observations of Sternberg-Reed cells in smears of bone marrow aspirate has been briefly reviewed and the cytology of node imprint preparations has been noted.
Two cases of Hodgkin’s disease in which Sternberg-Reed cells were observed in marrow smears are recorded with accompanying photomicrographs. No such cells were seen in the course of routine examination of more than six thousand, five hundred other bone marrow smears or in a special review of thirty cases of proved Hodgkin’s disease.
