Abstract
Deficient pseudopod formation and spreading of platelets on Formvar films were encountered in cases of chronic idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura and thrombocytoasthenias. The same defect together with agglutination was induced in isolated normal platelets by a platelet agglutinin from the serum of one case of chronic ITP. The possible significance of these results is briefly discussed.
