Fee Information

Submission fee

A nonrefundable processing fee of $75 is due upon submission of Regular Articles and Brief Reports. No submission fee is required for all other article types.

Public access option

Authors may choose to pay a fee to make their article immediately and freely available upon publication under a Creative Commons license. The fee for publication under a CC BY-NC-ND license is $5,500. This license allows noncommercial, nonderivative use of the article and requires appropriate credit to the authors. Authors whose institutions or funders require publication under a CC BY license may request a CC BY license, for which the fee will be $6,600. Authors can also publish under the subscription model with no fee required, and their article will be available to subscribers, ASH members, readers in developing countries, and patient groups. Your publication choice will have no effect on the peer review process or acceptance of your submission.

Page charges

Authors of Regular Articles and Brief Reports that are accepted for publication are required to pay page charges of $85 per printed page to offset the high costs of production.

Color charges

Authors are not charged any fee for figures published in color.

Reprints/offprints

Corresponding authors will receive an order form for offprints with their page proof. They also receive a free 50-day Sharelink to share their research with friends, family, and colleagues
