The Editors of Blood retract the 1 January 2006 paper cited above. The United States Office of Research Integrity (ORI) found that the first author had falsified data by reusing western blot images in this and other publications while claiming that they represented different controls and experimental results. In this paper, the western blot images for tubulin in Figures 2A, 2B, 2C, 3E, and 3F, as well as the western blot image for c-Jun in Figure 2C, were identified as duplicated across publications.
